Ellen: Hey everyone, I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at the JR Products Door Knob and Latch Set for RV entry doors.This is going to be a classic looking knob and handle set. We turn our knob, opens up our door, turn our handle, same thing. It's going to have a little spring loaded latch, which is going to go over the catch that it comes with. This is going to be able to move past that and still close and spring back into place. Again, it does come with this plate and the two screws to attach that to our frame.

As well as the two screws or bolts to actually attach our mechanism here and the square post to operate that handle.If you want to lock this, you just push down on this little button looking guy here and that will push down the post and not allow that to turn anymore. It's not lockable from the outside so you can only lock it from the inside. But if you want something that does have a key on the outside so you can get in there or lock everything up from the outside, we do have options available here at etrailer.com if you want to check those out.As far as measurements from top to bottom, it's about three and a half inches long. Our handle is about two and an eighth inch deep on the outside. And then on the inside it's about one and three quarter inches deep.

Our hardware is going to give us some options as far as the thickness that this will fit. The screws bottom out where I have them now, which is about an inch apart. But you can always cut those down if you need a little bit less length than that. And the center square peg will also allow for a little bit closer tolerance. I'm just going to thread these out all the way so we can see the widest width that this will work with.

Which is probably about there. Get this started back in. That's about the widest that you can probably have it, which is about an inch and three eighths. So as long as your door is an inch and three eighths or less, should work out just fine.The handle length is about two and a half inches long and the plate is about seven eighth of an inch wide. Our catch is about two and a quarter, by three quarter, by a half inch.

The distance between our mounting holes is about an inch and three quarters apart, but they are set on a diagonal as well.That's going to do it for our look at the JR Products Door Knob and Latch Set for your entry door.
